Valuable Library Collections Donated To Tsakopoulos Hellenic Collection At Sacramento State

The Foundation recently donated two significant library collections to the Tsakopoulos Hellenic Collection at Sacramento State University. We have arranged for the Kyriakos Tsakopoulos Collection and all other collections and artifacts previously housed at the San Francisco State University Center for Modern Greek Studies to be transferred to the Tsakopoulos Hellenic Collection under the supervision and curation of Mr. George Panagelis, their full-time librarian.

We also have gifted the expansive collection of books, journals, ephemera, and artifacts that were in the personal library of Professor Thanasis Maskaleris to the Tsakopoulos Hellenic Collection. Thanasis’ son, Dionysos, generously gifted this collection to our Foundation upon his father’s passing. We are delighted that these invaluable collections and resources will be lovingly and professionally curated and maintained by the premier Hellenic library in the western region of the country. There are also plans to digitize the collections to enable their accessibility to the rest of the academic world.
